Home Business Opportunities: How Do You Know What To Believe?
You'll soon find that nearly every business you look at claims to be the best at what it does. It has the best product, the most lucrative commissions, a fail-safe marketing system, and top-notch training. When every business claims to be the best, how can you tell which one is best for you? Most people immediately start reading reviews.
Although reading reviews is a good start, keep in mind that many of these reviews were written by the very people who want you to join their business. That doesn't mean that everything they say is false, but it does mean they may be focusing more on the positive and ignoring completely and negative aspects. There are independent sites that offer pretty good reviews, but most have an agenda.
There are some phrases you should watch out for:
*This business virtually runs itself.
*You can get rich without working-in one month.
*Set up your website and watch the money roll in.
*This "undiscovered" marketing system is sure to make you scads of money.
It's important to wade through the hype and get to the meat of the business. Find answers to these questions: What is the product? What is the commission structure? How much will you have to spend initially and long-term? How much can you realistically expect to earn?
The best recommendation any home entrepreneur can give anyone getting in on the online business game is to listen to what your gut is telling you. If you are excited about the business and the product, you can bet that others will be, too. If your gut is telling you to stay away, or if you can't realistically answer the above questions, find something else.
